Job Summary
Under supervision of Workforce Solutions management staff, provides responsible administrative, secretarial and clerical support, and related work as required.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assists with the maintenance of the Providence/Cranston Workforce Development Board and associated committees including but not limited to membership activities, meeting schedules, agendas and other meeting documents, and meeting minutes.
- Types various reports, maintains client and employer information, contracts, training curricula, proposal submissions, minutes of meetings, daily correspondence, invoices and payments, order forms, participant data, and other documents as required.
- Maintains hard copy and electronic filing and data systems.
- Answers telephone and email, screens call and email for the Administrator and other management staff as assigned.
- Responsible for general communications of programs and services, using email and social media accounts of Workforce Solutions.
- Coordinates scheduling of meetings with Administrator, Workforce Board. Administrative contacts, and outside vendors.
- Orders and distributes office supplies.
- Processes and distributes mail, photocopies, administrative and training correspondence, faxed documents and correspondence as requested, distributes relevant State and Federal documents.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
