Job Summary
Under the general oversight of the Director of Information Security, the Cyber Program Coordinator will coordinate all computer user awareness and manage administrative duties as it relates to cyber security in a critical infrastructure setting as well as audit and maintain organizational cyber security standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate and disseminate monthly computer user cyber security awareness training modules and other cyber security training material utilizing the organization’s cyber security training software.
- Audit various computer user account databases ensuring accuracy based on user status.
- Generate reports using data derived from the organization’s cyber security training software to identify topics of organizational vulnerability.
- Triage, track and log cyber security incidents that are reported by the organization’s cybersecurity tools and computer user community.
- Present in briefing to new employees during the on-boarding process.
- Remain aware of latest industry trends as it relates to cyber security computer awareness training and tailor monthly end user training accordingly.
- Assist senior information security staff in cyber incident response activities including but not limited to Tier I security center operations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, Information Technology or other relevant field.
- Minimum of 2 years progressive experience in information security, cyber threat operations, incident management, information technology or related field.
- Familiarity with drafting cyber security policies and procedures a plus.
- Must be highly organized and demonstrate attention to detail.
- Must demonstrate the ability to be creative and design cyber training material from scratch.
- Ability to perform data analytics from complex data sets.
- Knowledge of information security operations and technologies, compliance and regulatory matters, information governance and data privacy best practices.
- Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g. NIST Cybersecurity framework) and risk management
- If not already in possession of active certification, the chosen candidate must obtain CompTia Security+ Certification within 12 months of hire.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job.
